What do your results mean? Our team will sit-down with your lab to interpret and provide maximal insights into the results.
Generate quality biomechanical data to incorporate into your pre-clinical study results, gain translational insights, strengthen publication, grant, and CapEx budget submissions.
Opportunity to explore and apply biomechanics to your project, and learn the techniques from our highly technical Field Application Scientists (FAS).
Your samples will be prepared*, tested, and analyzed by Optics11Life-FAS team members for readouts such as stiffness, viscoelasticity, topography, and adhesion, (sample dependent).

Submit an abstract (max 300 words) proposing a proof-of-concept research project that incorporates biomechanical testing (stiffness, viscoelasticity, etc.). An internal Optics11 Life scientific panel will review submissions and select the winner based on innovation and alignment with Optics11 Life’s strategic vision.
Applicants must hold primary research positions and ideally plan to submit a budget request or grant application that incorporates biomechanics into project goals.
** In-office testing requirements include no samples of biological origin requiring a safety level.

As a competition winner, you and your samples will enjoy a full‑day, concierge‑style experience: up to eight hours of instrument time on the Pavone, Chiaro, or Piuma, executed either side‑by‑side with our Field Application Scientists in our lab or remotely. Before testing, we’ll hold a planning call to walk through sample preparation so everything arrives ready to run; during the session, our team will collect quantitative read‑outs such as stiffness, viscoelasticity, topography and adhesion (as appropriate for your material). Afterwards, you’ll sit down with the same experts for a dedicated data‑interpretation meeting.
